Introduction : The Department of Otorhinolaryngology and head and neck (ENT) provides diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of ear, nose and throat diseases as well as treatment of hearing balance and speech disorder.
The department has 20 standard beds and 1 OPD block and average no. of patients in daily OPD is 80-100 patients/day.
Facilities :
A. Provide diagnosis and treatment of patient with ENT problems.
B. Audiological Investigation.
-Pure tone audiometry with special audiological test.
-Impedance Audiometry.
-Otoacoustic Emission.
-BERA.
C. Speech Assesment &Speech Therapy.
OPD & Ward :
We provide examination and treatment for patients in general and specialised sections (Otology, Rhinology, Laryngology and Onchology) as well as consulting services for indoor patients.
The department is equipped with operating microscope, tele-endoscope and bronchoscopes.
The Audiology section is equipped with modern audiometer,impedance audiometer,OAE & BERA.
We provide treatment of ear,nose and throat diseases including subsequents post-operative cases.

Ear: ANATOMY & DISEASES of pinnae , ext.auditory canal , assessment of hearing function & vestibulae, otitis externa, wax, acute suppurative otitis media, secreatory otitis media , chronic suppurative otitis media( safe & unsafe) benign & malignant tumour of ear , deaf child.
NOSE: Anatomy of nose
Deviated nasal septum ,chronic granulomatous disease, allergic rhinitis.
nasal polypi, angiofibroma.
ORAL CAVITY & OROPHARYNX , LARYNX
Pharyngitis, tonsilitis, peritonsillar abscess, leukoplakia, aphthous ulcer, candidiasis, oral submous fibrosis ,malignancy, benign & malignant tumour of larynx, vocal cord pathologies ,vocal cord palsy ,voice disorder.
Hypopharynx: BENIGN & MALIGNANT LESION
Emergencies:
• Respiratory Obstruction.
• Foreign bodies in ear, nose, throat, tracheobronchial tree and esophagous.
• Nasal bleeding.
• Trauma to neck.

Anaesthesiology
Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care.
Facilities available to administor general anaesthesia regional anaesthesia, BLS & ACLS, managements of emergency cases.
Community Medicine
As per Medical Council of India medical education programme is designed with a goal to create an “Indian Medical Graduate” possessing requisite knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and Responsiveness, so that he or she may function appropriately and effectively as a physician of First contact of the community while being globally relevant.
Concurrent with above goal Institute & Department have identified three pillars to conceptualize the IMG into Reality.
Biochemistry
The Department of Biochemistry is engaged in high quality teaching facilities with eminent faculties that makes the medical undergraduate students compatible with all latest scientific developments.
This department also provides patient care by investigating biochemical tests in the clinical laboratory with modern updated instruments operated by trained & skilled personnel.
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology started in year 2006. It is a MCI recognized 60 bedded department.
The department provides comprehensive health care to women through daily OPD, special clinics like cancer clinic, antenatal clinic, post natal clinic, adolescent health clinic and 24 hours emergency obstetric care.
Pathology
Department of Pathology Late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Govt. Medical College, Jagdalpur established in year 2007.
We have undergrduate teaching course in MBBS and Certificate course for Laboratory Technician. Besides this, facility for laboratory service for both indoor and outdoor patients available.
